Sadie Amara Calvano has become well-known for her character Violet Plunkett that she played in the CBS comedy Mom. A California native, Calvano was initially interested in competitive gymnastics. Later, however, Calvano chose to pursue a career in acting. Her first screen appearance was an episode from 2010 on the CBS show 'NCIS. In the crime drama biographical movie J Edgar, she made her debut on the big screen few months later. In subsequent years, she firmly established herself among the top actors of today's young. As a result of her appearance in 'NCIS', she received a nomination for the Young Artist Award for Best performance in a television Series with a Guest Actor Actress 11-15 years old in the year 2011. In addition, she was nominated in 2013 for an additional Young Artist Award, this time because of her appearance as a guest star on Disney XD's comedic series "Kickin' It". Calvano starred in Mom's first three seasons, and also made several guest appearances during the fourth. Her performance in the show was recognized with the Gracie Allen Award for Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star in the year 2015.
