Ava DuVernay and Autumn Riley

Ava DuVernay is a Californian born in Long Beach on 24 August 1972. DuVernay received support from her Aunt Denise at the age of a little girl. DuVernay worked as a night nurse to allow her mother the time she needed during her day time to enjoy the pleasures of art, literature, and theater. The aunt introduced DuVernay the 1961 movie West Side Story and DuVernay became enthralled by the film. DuVernay realized that art could be an effective tool for promoting social activism. DuVernay's mother also had social consciousness and taught DuVernay how to convey messages via the medium of art. DuVernay was a summer resident of Lowndes County Alabama, where DuVernay's father was born and raised. DuVernay's dad recalled the Civil Rights marches that occurred over the Edmund Pettus Bridge and the Selma town that was nearby, Alabama. The time she spent in Selma Alabama would later inspire her to make a film about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the Civil Rights Movement. DuVernay graduated from Saint Joseph High School Lakewood California in the year 1990. After graduation, she studied at the University of California Los Angeles where she earned degrees in English as well as African American study. DuVernay began to develop an interest in the field of broadcast journalism while a student. Her first job was as an intern for CBS News, during the O.J. Simpson trial. DuVernay remembers being given an assignment to watch the home and looking through the trash from one of juries. When she was dissatisfied with journalistic work by the assignments she was assigned and deciding to go after an interest in public relations. DuVernay began her professional career as a junior assistant to publicity at a small film studio shortly after she graduated from the college. Her own Public Relations company, The DuVernay Agency was established in 1999. In addition to PR her agency also created a variety of marketing and lifestyle platforms, such as Urban Beauty Collective, the Urban Beauty Collective, Urban Thought Collective, Urban Eye and HelloBeautiful. Autumn Riley.............................Autumn Riley was born in Los Angeles United States. Autumn Riley's birth sign is . Her fame is due to her roles on American Experience, (1987) A More Perfect Union and A More Perfect Union (2009). Autumn has appeared as Rose, in A More Perfect Union (2009) as well as Anna Payne, in American Experience (1987).
