Mena Alexandra (born on February 13, 1979) is a model and actress American-born model and actress. Soon after she began her acting career Mena Alexandra Svari was a regular in guest roles for 1990s TV shows Boy Meets World and High Incident. She made her film debut in 1997's drama film Nowhere. The actress made her way to major roles with her performances on American Beauty for which she received nominations for the BAFTA Award and American Pie both of which earned more attention. Since then she appeared on screen in Loser (2000) along with the American Pie co-star Jason Biggs as well as later portrayed the lead character in the comedy Sugar & Spice (2001). Her appearances were in the 2002 acclaimed independent drama Spun and in the 2004 thriller feature Trauma. In addition, she was a part of the HBO drama Six Feet Under. The series was a hit in 2004 and in 2005 the Screen Actors Guild honored her as one of the most outstanding actors. In 2008, she part of several films including Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh or the film adaptation of The Garden of Eden. Suvari has been a actress for Lancome cosmetics as well as print ads of Lancome Paris Adaptive and has been featured on numerous magazines and fashion blogs including Vogue. Suvari has been a loyal campaigner for and a supporter of the esteemed African relief organisation, known as the African Medical and Research Foundation.
